Margaret Elphinstone: Lost People
Sunday 14th June 2026
Margaret Elphinstone will be reading from her novel 'Lost People' (shortlisted for the 2024 Saltire Award) which focuses on hope and renewal in an unspecified world of trauma and devastation. She will be discussing the themes of exile, displacement and journeys through liminal places which not only permeate 'Lost People' but underpin her earlier historical novels along with an intense awareness of the landscape and natural world with which human lives are intertwined.
