A dynamic Gypsy Jazz quartet consisting of Clare Mactaggart, Alex Bishop, Paul Gadd and Tom Allen on violin, guitars and double bass respectively. Hot swing in the Reinhardt/Grappelli tradition; expect exciting arrangements with intertwining melodies from these 4 acomplished musicans.

About the event
We're delighted to have the Clare Mactaggart Quartet perform on the final evening of our weekend gypsy jazz extravaganza.
Immerse yourself in Django Reinhardt's intoxicating sounds for the final Manouche fling of the summer. 4 days of superb 1930s style Parisian Jazz with evening concerts and all day jamming at the venue in separate spots. Outside too if the weather is kind, and it's all totally free!
Bring your instrument, join in with the jams, have a beer, watch, listen, play along, it's up to you. Then each evening a different gypsy jazz band will perform, the lineup:
Thursday evening - Gitano (Bristol) Friday evening - La Vie en Rose (Exeter) Saturday evening - Hot Flamingo (Yorkshire) Sunday Evening - Clare Mactaggart Quartet (Bristol)
And of course daily hot hot hot jams from noon onwards, open to all!
We allso have Gypsy Jazz instrument workshops on Saturday morning at 10:30am for both guitar and violin, priced at £15 per person.
The Riff Corner is conveniently located right in the middle of this small seaside town near Bristol. There are campsites very near to the venue as well as air bnbs and hotels within reach for non locals. Come along and enjoy some late summer Django joy.
